The Problem: The expense card team identified recurring issues that were slowing approvals and increasing risk. I was asked to design a manager-focused solution to improve clarity and support better decision-making.
Solution: Using the ADDIE approach, I developed a scalable learning experience in Rise360, supported by ElevenLabs voiceover and Camtasia walkthroughs—designed to simplify compliance and support confident, real-world decision-making.

Simplifying Expense Compliance
Compliance is critical in expense management to avoid errors, fraud, and financial risks. The learning project emphasizes:
Understand policy essentials: Clear guidance on allowable expenses, spending limits, and documentation requirements.
Recognize red flags: Identify duplicate claims, missing receipts, and unusual spending patterns.
Following audit trails: Ensure clear documentation that supports internal and external audits.
Built in Rise360, the experience uses interactive, scenario-based learning to simulate real expense reports—allowing managers to practice identifying compliance issues before they occur.
Supporting Confident Decision-Making
Expense approval goes beyond policy—managers must make quick, informed decisions. This solution supports decision-making through:
Use decision frameworks: Clear criteria for when to approve, reject, or request more information.
Apply critical thinking: Evaluate business needs alongside policy constraints.
Learn through feedback: Immediate feedback reinforces the impact of each decision.
To enhance clarity and engagement, ElevenLabs voice technology provides realistic, conversational narration—reinforcing key concepts and improving retention without increasing cognitive load.
Bridging Policy to Real-World Application
To support real-world application, I created Camtasia-based walkthroughs that guide managers through the Concur system in realistic scenarios.
These videos serve as both:
Training reinforcement during the learning experience
Performance support tools that managers can reference on demand
This ensures learning extends beyond completion and supports decision-making in the flow of work.

Design Decisions & Impact
The learning experience was designed to be clear, accessible, and easy to use in the flow of work.
Simple navigation: Clear menus and progress indicators support seamless movement through content
Scannable design: Readable fonts and spacing make content easy to digest across devices
Balanced visuals: Text, images, and video are structured to maintain focus and reduce cognitive load
As a result, managers can complete training efficiently—whether at their desk or on the go.
Managers gain:
Confidence in making compliant expense decisions
Clear frameworks for evaluating and approving requests
Ability to identify and address potential risks
Practical experience navigating Concur
This solution supports faster approvals, fewer errors, and stronger audit readiness—while providing a scalable, easy-to-maintain learning experience.
